Enquiry privacy notice

Updated 30 September 2026

DutyDesk is operated by The Orvos Empire Pty Ltd, the company responsible for the personal information collected through this enquiry form.

This notice covers enquiries about our service submitted through the website form. It does not cover whistleblowing reports or a future customer reporting service. Please do not use the form to submit reports, names of people involved or sensitive evidence.

What we collect and why

We collect your name, email address, message and, if you provide it, business name so that we can respond to your enquiry and discuss the service you asked about. Submitting an enquiry is voluntary. Your name, email address and message are required; your business name is optional.

Submitting the form asks us to contact you about that enquiry. It does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing.

Where your enquiry goes

Our website sends enquiries securely through Afrihost's email service to info@dutydesk.co.za. Afrihost processes the information to deliver and store that correspondence. The DutyDesk people handling your enquiry can read it.

The website no longer sends enquiry details through FormSubmit. Information may also need to be disclosed where required by South African law.

Keeping your information

Your enquiry becomes part of our email correspondence. Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), personal information may be retained only for as long as it is needed for its purpose, unless a lawful ground permits longer retention. Relevant business records or a legal obligation may require some correspondence to be kept longer.

You can ask about the information we hold and request deletion where applicable. We assess deletion requests against any continuing lawful need to keep the information.

Your choices and rights

Under POPIA, you may request access to your personal information, ask for incorrect information to be corrected, and object to processing or request deletion where the law allows. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

For a privacy question or request, contact DutyDesk through the enquiry form and state that it concerns your personal information. Please do not include identity documents or sensitive evidence.

You may also complain to South Africa's Information Regulator at POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za. Its contact and complaints page explains how to submit a complaint.
